Hadith 6361
أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْمِنْهَالِ ابْنِ أَخِي الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بِالْبَصْرَةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْقَيْسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ ضِجَاعُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ أَدَمٍ حَشْوُهُ لِيفٌ " ، قَالَتْ : " وَكَانَ يَأْتِي عَلَيْنَا الشَّهْرُ مَا نَسْتَوْقِدُ نَارًا ، إِِنَّمَا هُمَا الأَسْوَدَانِ : التَّمْرُ وَالْمَاءُ ، إِِلَى أَنْ يَبْعَثَ إِِلَيْنَا جِيرَانٌ لَنَا بِغَزِيرَةِ شَاتِهِمْ " .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The bed of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was made of leather and filled with palm leaves. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Sometimes a month would pass over us in such a way that we could not light a fire (for cooking) throughout the month. Our food consisted of only two black things, dates and water. However, sometimes our neighbors would send us milk from their goats.
