Hadith 6323
أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، وَنَافِعٌ ، أَنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ، حَدَّثَهُمَا أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَكْتُبُ الْمَصَاحِفَ فِي عَهْدِ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : فَاسْتَكْتَبَتْنِي حَفْصَةُ مُصْحَفًا ، وَقَالَتْ : " إِِذَا بَلَغْتَ هَذِهِ الآيَةَ مِنْ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ ، فَلا تَكْتُبْهَا حَتَّى تَأْتِيَنِي بِهَا ، فَأُمِلَّهَا عَلَيْكَ كَمَا حَفِظْتُهَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " ، قَالَ : فَلَمَّا بَلَغْتُهَا جِئْتُهَا بِالْوَرَقَةِ الَّتِي أَكْتُبُهَا ، فَقَالَتِ : " اكْتُبْ : حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلاةِ الْوُسْطَى سورة البقرة آية 238 وَصَلاةِ الْعَصْرِ وَقُومُوا لِلَّهِ قَانِتِينَ سورة البقرة آية 238 " .
Imam Muhammad Baqir, may Allah have mercy on him, and Nafi’ narrate this: Amr bin Nafi’ reported this. He used to write the Noble Qur’an during the era of the wives of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. He says: Sayyidah Hafsah, may Allah be pleased with her, requested me to write the Noble Qur’an. She said: When you reach this verse of Surah Al-Baqarah, do not write it until you come to me; I will dictate it to you exactly as I memorized it from the words of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. The narrator says: When I reached that verse, I took the page on which I was writing the Qur’an and presented it to Sayyidah Hafsah, may Allah be pleased with her. She said: Write it like this: “Guard your prayers, and especially the middle prayer, which is the Asr prayer, and stand before Allah with humility.”
