Hadith 6262
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانِ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ طَاوُسًا ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ هَذِهِ الآيَةِ : قُلْ لا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِِلا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَى ، فَقَالَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ : قُرْبَى مُحَمَّدٍ ؟ ، قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : عَجِلْتَ ، إِِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَكُنْ بَطْنٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ إِِلا كَانَ لَهُ فِيهِمْ قَرَابَةٌ ، فَقَالَ : " إِِلا أَنْ تَصِلُوا مَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ مِنَ الْقَرَابَةِ " .
Tawoos narrates: It was asked from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) about this verse: "Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it except love for kinship." So Saeed bin Jubair said: By this is meant the close relatives of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: You have acted hastily. The Prophet (peace be upon him) had some relation with every branch of the Quraish, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Take care of the rights of the kinship that exists between me and you.
