Hadith 6261
أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ زَنْجُوَيْهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " لَمْ يُقَصَّ فِي زَمَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلا أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، وَلا عُمَرَ ، وَلا عُثْمَانَ ، إِِنَّمَا كَانَ الْقَصَصُ زَمَنَ الْفِتْنَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: In the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), in the time of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), in the time of Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and in the time of Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), storytelling did not take place. Storytelling began in the times of tribulations.
