Hadith 6253
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، وَالْقَوَارِيرِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : بَاعَ سَمُرَةُ خَمْرًا ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ : قَاتَلَ اللَّهُ سَمُرَةَ ، أَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الْيَهُودَ حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الشُّحُومُ ، فَجَمَلُوهَا فَبَاعُوهَا " ؟ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Once Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) sold wine, so Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: May Allah destroy Samurah, does he not know that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “May Allah curse the Jews; fat was made unlawful for them, so they melted it and began to sell it.”
