Hadith 6236
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هَمَّامٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنِ الْهَيْثَمِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الْوَضِينِ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ نَصْرِ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَقَدْ قَبَضَ اللَّهُ دَاوُدَ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَصْحَابِهِ ، فَمَا فُتِنُوا وَلا بَدَّلُوا ، وَلَقَدْ مَكَثَ أَصْحَابُ الْمَسِيحِ عَلَى سُنَّتِهِ وَهَدْيِهِ مِائَتَيْ سَنَةٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty took the soul of Sayyiduna Dawud (peace be upon him) among his companions, so they were not subjected to trial and they did not alter (the rulings of the religion). The companions of Sayyiduna Isa (peace be upon him) adhered to his Sunnah and guidance for two hundred years."
