Hadith 6206
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " رَحِمَ اللَّهُ يُوسُفَ ، لَوْلا الْكَلِمَةُ الَّتِي قَالَهَا : اذْكُرْنِي عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ ، مَا لَبِثَ فِي السِّجْنِ مَا لَبِثَ ، وَرَحِمَ اللَّهُ لُوطًا ، إِِنْ كَانَ لَيَأْوِي إِِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ ، إِِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ : لَوْ أَنَّ لِيَ بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ ، قَالَ : فَمَا بَعَثَ اللَّهُ نَبِيًّا بَعْدَهُ ، إِِلا فِي ثَرْوَةٍ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Allah have mercy on Sayyiduna Yusuf (peace be upon him). If it were not for the statement he made, when he said: 'Mention me to your master,' Sayyiduna Yusuf (peace be upon him) would not have remained in prison for as long as he did. And may Allah have mercy on Sayyiduna Lut (peace be upon him); he intended to seek refuge in a strong shelter when he said to his people: 'Either I will have strength against you, or I will take refuge in a strong shelter.' The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: After that, Allah sent every prophet to his specific nation."
