أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ بِحَرَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْحَفَرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَا أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِعِيسَى ، الأَنْبِيَاءُ أَبْنَاءُ عَلاتٍ ، وَلَيْسَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عِيسَى نَبِيٌّ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am the closest of all people to Sayyiduna Isa (Jesus, peace be upon him). The Prophets are paternal brothers. There is no Prophet between me and Sayyiduna Isa (peace be upon him)."
