Hadith 6175
أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ابْنُ مَوْهِبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ : " إِِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ ، وَإِِنَّهُ لِمَنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ، وَإِِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ ، وَإِِنَّهُ لِمَنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ " .
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “A person performs the deeds of the people of Paradise in what appears to people, while in reality he is from the people of Hellfire; and a person performs the deeds of the people of Hellfire in what appears to people, while in reality he is from the people of Paradise.”
