Hadith 6166
أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ ، وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِِدْرِيسَ الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، قَالا : أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، سُئِلَ عَنْ هَذِهِ الآيَةِ : وَإِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِنْ بَنِي آدَمَ مِنْ ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَأَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ أَلَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ قَالُوا بَلَى سورة الأعراف آية 172 ، قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنْهَا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِِنَّ اللَّهَ خَلَقَ آدَمَ ، ثُمَّ مَسَحَ عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ بِيَمِينِهِ ، فَاسْتَخْرَجَ مِنْهُ ذُرِّيَّةً ، فَقَالَ : خَلَقْتُ هَؤُلاءِ لِلْجَنَّةِ ، وَبِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ يَعْمَلُونَ ، ثُمَّ مَسَحَ ظَهْرَهُ ، فَاسْتَخْرَجَ مِنْهُ ذُرِّيَّةً ، فَقَالَ : خَلَقْتُ هَؤُلاءِ لِلنَّارِ ، وَبِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ يَعْمَلُونَ " ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ! فَفِيمَ الْعَمَلُ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِِنَّ اللَّهَ إِِذَا خَلَقَ الْعَبْدَ لِلْجَنَّةِ ، اسْتَعْمَلَهُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ حَتَّى يَمُوتَ عَلَى عَمَلٍ مِنْ أَعْمَالِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ، فَيُدْخِلُهُ بِهِ الْجَنَّةَ ، وَإِِذَا خَلَقَ الْعَبْدَ لِلنَّارِ ، اسْتَعْمَلَهُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ حَتَّى يَمُوتَ عَلَى عَمَلٍ مِنْ أَعْمَالِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ، فَيُدْخِلُهُ بِهِ النَّارَ " .
Muslim bin Yasar al-Juhani narrates: It was asked from Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding this: "And when your Lord brought forth from the children of Adam, from their loins, their descendants and made them testify about themselves (and asked): 'Am I not your Lord?' They replied: 'Yes.'"
Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he was asked about this verse, so he (peace be upon him) said: Indeed, Allah Almighty created Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him), then He passed His hand over his back and brought forth from his back his descendants and said: I have created these people for Paradise and for the deeds of the people of Paradise. Then Allah Almighty passed His hand over his back and brought forth from it his descendants and said: I have created these people for Hell and for the deeds of the people of Hell.
A man said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Then why should deeds be done? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Allah Almighty has created a servant for Paradise, He makes him do the deeds of the people of Paradise, until that person dies while doing the deeds of the people of Paradise, so Allah Almighty admits him into Paradise. When Allah Almighty has created a servant for Hell, He makes him do the deeds of the people of Hell, until that person dies while doing the deeds of the people of Hell, so Allah Almighty admits him into Hell because of that.
