Section on the Beginning of Creation - Everything is by Allah’s will and power, whether loved or disliked
Hadith 6149
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ الْيَمَانِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَدْرَكْتُ نَاسًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُونَ : كُلُّ شَيْءٍ بِقَدَرٍ ، فَسَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كُلُّ شَيْءٍ بِقَدَرٍ ، حَتَّى الْعَجْزُ وَالْكَيْسُ ، أَوِ الْكَيْسُ وَالْعَجْزُ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, narrates that the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Everything is according to destiny, even incapacity and intelligence (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words) even intelligence and incapacity."
