Hadith 6119
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A Bedouin came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! Disease appears on the thick skin of a camel (the narrator is in doubt, or perhaps) on the lower back bone before the onset of mange. (The narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words) then all the camels become afflicted with mange. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Who afflicted the first one with disease? Its life, its calamity, and its sustenance (are in the power of Allah Almighty).
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The word used in the text of the narration "its calamity" is not correct; rather, the original word is "its death," however, the narration has been transmitted as "its calamity." This point has been mentioned by the Shaykh.
