Hadith 6116
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا عَدْوَى ، وَلا صَفَرَ ، وَلا هَامَةَ " ، فَقَالَ الأَعْرَابِيُّ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، فَمَا بَالُ الإِبِلِ تَكُونُ فِي الرَّمْلِ كَأَنَّهَا الظِّبَاءُ ، فَيَجِيءُ الْبَعِيرُ الأَجْرَبُ ، فَيَدْخُلُ فِيهَا فَيُجْرِبُهَا ؟ قَالَ : " فَمَنْ أَعْدَى الأَوَّلَ ؟ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no reality in contagion, Safar, and Haamah." A Bedouin asked: "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! What about the camels? They roam in the desert like deer, then a mangy camel comes and joins them, and it makes them all mangy." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: "Who caused the first one to have mange?"
