ذكر الأمر لمن رأى بأخيه شيئا حسنا أن يبرك له فيه فإن عانه توضأ له-
If one sees something good in his brother, he should bless him; if he envies, he should perform ablution for him
Hadith 6105
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَاهُ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ ، يَقُولُ : اغْتَسَلَ أَبِي سَهْلُ بْنُ حُنَيْفٍ بِالْخَرَّارِ فَنَزَعَ جُبَّةً كَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ ، وَعَامِرُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ يَنْظُرُ ، قَالَ : وَكَانَ سَهْلٌ رَجُلا أَبْيَضَ حَسَنَ الْجِلْدِ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ عَامِرُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ : مَا رَأَيْتُ كَالْيَوْمِ ، وَلا جِلْدَ عَذْرَاءَ ، فَوعِكَ سَهْلٌ مَكَانَهُ ، فَاشْتَدَّ وَعَكُهُ ، فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ سَهْلا وُعِكَ ، وَأَنَّهُ غَيْرُ رَائِحٍ مَعَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، فَأَتَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَخْبَرَهُ سَهْلٌ الَّذِي كَانَ مِنْ شَأْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " عَلامَ يَقْتُلُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ ، أَلا بَرَّكْتَ ؟ إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ حَقٌّ ، تَوَضَّأْ لَهُ " ، فَتَوَضَّأَ لَهُ عَامِرُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ ، فَرَاحَ سَهْلٌ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْسَ بِهِ بَأْسٌ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once my father, Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hunaif (may Allah be pleased with him), performed ghusl at the place of Kharrar. He removed the cloak that was on his body, and ‘Amir bin Rabi’ah saw him. The narrator says: Sayyiduna Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) was a very fair-skinned person, his skin was very beautiful. ‘Amir bin Rabi’ah said: The (beautiful skin) I have seen today, even a virgin girl does not have such skin. So Sayyiduna Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) became ill at that very place, he developed a high fever. He was brought to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). They informed the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): Sayyiduna Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) has developed a fever, O Messenger of Allah! He is not even able to come to your service. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to him. Sayyiduna Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) told him about the incident with ‘Amir bin Rabi’ah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Why does one of you want to kill his brother? Do you not know that the evil eye is real? You should perform wudu for him. ‘Amir bin Rabi’ah performed wudu for him, and Sayyiduna Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) came walking with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) as if he had no ailment (i.e., his illness was gone).
