Hadith 6069
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ بْنُ السَّرْحِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، فقال أَخْبَرَنِي دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَكِّيُّ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى الْمَازِنِيِّ ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ ثَابِتِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ الشَّمَّاسِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : " اكْشِفِ الْبَأْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ ، عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ الشَّمَّاسِ ، ثُمَّ أَخَذَ تُرَابًا مِنْ بُطْحَانَ فَجَعَلَهُ فِي قَدَحٍ فِيهِ مَاءٌ ، فَصَبَّهُ عَلَيْهِ " .
Yusuf bin Muhammad narrates from his father about his grandfather: Once, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) came to them. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said (that is, he supplicated): "O Lord of the people! Remove the affliction from Thabit bin Qais bin Shammas." Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) took some soil from Bathan, put it in a bowl in which there was water, and sprinkled that water over him.
