Abu Salamah bin Abdur Rahman narrates: Sometimes I would see such dreams that would make me ill, until I heard Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate that he used to see such dreams that would make him ill, until he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "A good dream is from Allah. When any person sees a dream that he likes, he should relate that dream to the one whom he likes. And when any person sees a dream that he dislikes, he should seek refuge with Allah from the evil of that dream and spit three times to his left."
