Ibn Hibban

Sayyiduna Sahl bin Abu Hathma (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Rafi’ bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Suhail (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Muhayyisa bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Khaybar for some work. They separated from each other, and then Sayyiduna Abdullah was killed. His brother Abdur Rahman bin Suhail and his cousin Huwayyisa came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Abdur Rahman began to speak, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Give the elder a chance first, give the elder a chance first. Then both of them spoke about their companion. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: By the oath of fifty men among you, you can become entitled to your companion (the narrator is in doubt, or perhaps this is the word) to the blood money of your murdered one. They said: O Messenger of Allah! We were not present there, so how can we swear to it? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Then fifty men from the Jews will swear an oath and be acquitted of responsibility from you. They said: O Messenger of Allah! They are disbelievers.
The narrator states: Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) paid the blood money on his own behalf.
Sayyiduna Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: One day I entered the enclosure of those people, and one of the she-camels kicked me.
