Hadith 5999
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ زُرَارَةَ بْنَ أَوْفَى يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، أَنَّ رَجُلا عَضَّ يَدَ رَجُلٍ ، فَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا ، فَنَزَعَهَا مِنْ فِيهِ ، فَوَقَعَتْ ثَنِيَّتَاهُ ، فَاخْتَصَمُوا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ ؟ ! لا دِيَةَ لَكَ " .
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man bit another man’s hand, and he indicated with his hand: like this. The other man pulled his hand out of his mouth, and his front teeth fell out. So they brought their case to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Does one of you bite his brother’s hand like a camel bites? You will not receive any compensation (diyah).
