Section on Crimes - Allah punishes in Hell those who kill themselves in this world
Hadith 5986
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عن النبي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ بِحَدِيدَةٍ ، فَحَدِيدَتُهُ فِي يَدِهِ يَجَأُ بِهَا فِي بَطْنِهِ ، يَهْوِي فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدًا مُخَلَّدًا فِيهَا أَبَدًا ، وَمَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ بِسُمٍّ ، فَسُمُّهُ فِي يَدِهِ يَتَحَسَّاهُ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدًا مُخَلَّدًا فِيهَا أَبَدًا ، وَمَنْ تَرَدَّى مِنْ جَبَلٍ مُتَعَمِّدًا ، فَقَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ فَهُوَ يَتَرَدَّى فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدًا مُخَلَّدًا فِيهَا أَبَدًا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever commits suicide with iron (i.e., with a sharp object), that sharp object will be in his hand, with which he will continue to stab his belly, and he will remain forever falling in Hellfire. Whoever commits suicide with poison, his poison will be in his hand, which he will continue to lick forever and ever in the Fire of Hell. Whoever deliberately throws himself from a mountain and commits suicide, he will remain forever falling in Hell."
