Hadith 5981
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بِبُسْتَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، وَيُونُسَ ، وَالْمُعَلَّى ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنِ الأَحْنَفِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا الْتَقَى الْمُسْلِمَانِ بِسَيْفَيْهِمَا ، فَقَتَلَ أَحَدُهُمَا صَاحِبَهُ ، فَالْقَاتِلُ وَالْمَقْتُولُ فِي النَّارِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "There is hope for forgiveness from Allah for every sin, except for the one who dies as a polytheist, or the one who deliberately kills a believer."
