Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abdullah bin Amr! What will be your condition when you will remain among the dregs of the people?" He said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Who are these people?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This will happen when their trusts and their covenants will be mixed with each other, and they will become like this." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) interlaced his fingers. Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Then what is your opinion regarding this?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever you consider good, do it, and whatever you consider evil, do not do it, and act only for your own self, and leave the people (to their own state)."
