ذكر الإخبار عن أكل ما يجوز استعماله مما حبس الكلاب على أربابها-
Permissibility of eating what is caught by trained dogs for their owners
Hadith 5879
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَبِيعَةَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ الدِّمَشْقِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلانِيَّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّا بِأَرْضٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ كِتَابٍ نَأْكُلُ فِي آنِيَتِهِمْ ، وَإِنَّ أَرْضَنَا أَرْضُ صَيْدٍ ، أَصِيدُ بِقَوْسِي ، وَبِالْكَلْبِ الْمُكَلَّبِ ، وَبِالْكَلْبِ الَّذِي لَيْسَ بِمُكَلَّبٍ ، فَأَخْبِرْنِي مَاذَا يَحِلُّ لَنَا مِمَّا يَحْرُمُ عَلَيَّ مِنْ ذَلِكَ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمَّا مَا ذَكَرْتَ أَنَّكُمْ بِأَرْضِ أَهْلِ كِتَابٍ تَأْكُلُونَ فِي آنِيَتِهِمْ ، فَإِنْ وَجَدْتُمْ غَيْرَ آنِيَتِهِمْ فَلا تَأْكُلُوا فِيهَا ، وَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُوا غَيْرَ آنِيَتِهِمْ فَاغْسِلُوهَا وَكُلُوا فِيهَا ، وَأَمَّا مَا ذَكَرْتَ مِنَ الصَّيْدِ ، فَمَا صِدْتَ بِقَوْسِكَ فَكُلْ مِنْهُ ، وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ ، وَأَمَّا مَا أَصَابَ كَلْبُكَ الْمُكَلَّبُ ، فَكُلْ مِمَّا أَمْسَكَ عَلَيْكَ وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ ، وَأَمَّا مَا أَصَابَ كَلْبُكَ الَّذِي لَيْسَ بِمُكَلَّبٍ ، فَإِنْ أَدْرَكْتَ ذَكَاتَهُ فَكُلْ ، وَمَا لَمْ تُدْرِكْ ذَكَاتَهُ فَلا تَأْكُلْ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Tha’labah al-Khushani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I presented myself before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! We live in the land of the People of the Book and we eat from their utensils. Our area is such that there is much hunting. I hunt with my bow, and also with a trained dog, and sometimes with an untrained dog. So tell me, which of these things is forbidden for me? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: As for what you mentioned, that you live in the land of the People of the Book and eat from their utensils—if you can find utensils other than theirs, then do not eat from their utensils. But if you cannot find other utensils, then wash their utensils and eat from them. As for what you mentioned about hunting—whatever you hunt with your bow, eat from it, and take the name of Allah over it. And whatever game your trained dog catches for you, take the name of Allah and eat from it. And whatever is hunted by an untrained dog—if you are able to slaughter it, then eat it; and if you are not able to slaughter it, then do not eat it.
