Hadith 5677
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَسْمَاءَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا سُئِلَتْ : مَا كَانَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْمَلُ فِي بَيْتِهِ ؟ قَالَتْ : " كَانَ يَخِيطُ ثَوْبَهُ ، وَيَخْصِفُ نَعْلَهُ ، وَيَعْمَلُ مَا يَعْمَلُ الرِّجَالُ فِي بُيُوتِهِمْ " .
It is narrated about Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) that she was asked: What work did the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) do at home? She replied: He used to sew his own clothes, mend his own shoes, and did all those tasks that men do in their homes.
