Chapter on Hatred, Envy, and Quarreling among Muslims – On the prohibition of hatred, envy, and turning away among Muslims
Hadith 5660
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا تَبَاغَضُوا ، وَلا تَحَاسَدُوا ، وَلا تَدَابَرُوا ، وَكُونُوا عِبَادًا لِلَّهِ إِخْوَانًا ، وَلا يَحِلُّ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ أَخَاهُ فَوْقَ ثَلاثٍ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Do not bear malice against one another, do not envy one another, do not turn your backs on one another. Be, O servants of Allah, brothers to one another. It is not permissible for any Muslim to remain estranged from his brother for more than three days."
