Hadith 5655
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُغَفَّلِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَيُّمَا قَوْمٍ اتَّخَذُوا كَلْبًا لَيْسَ بِكَلْبِ صَيْدٍ أَوْ زَرْعٍ ، أَوْ مَاشِيَةٍ ، نَقَصَ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطٌ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever keeps a dog that is not for hunting, or for guarding crops, or for guarding livestock, then a qirat (portion) of their reward is reduced every day."
