Section on Torture – On the prohibition of striking a Muslim on the face
Hadith 5604
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ الْكَلاعِيُّ بِحِمْصَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْقُرَشِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا قَاتَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ ، فَلْيَجْتَنِبِ الْوَجْهَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person beats someone, he should avoid striking the face of the other person."
