Hadith 5598
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ الْعِجْلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الْمَرْأَةُ عَوْرَةٌ ، وَإِنَّهَا إِذَا خَرَجَتِ اسْتَشْرَفَهَا الشَّيْطَانُ ، وَإِنَّهَا لا تَكُونُ إِلَى وَجْهِ اللَّهِ أَقْرَبَ مِنْهَا فِي قَعْرِ بَيْتِهَا " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "A woman is an object of concealment; when she goes out, Satan looks at her, and she is closest to Allah the Exalted when she is in the innermost part of her house."
