Hadith 5585
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Some people from Banu Hashim came to the house of Sayyidah Asma bint Umais (may Allah be pleased with her). Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) entered the house; Sayyidah Asma was his wife. When Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) saw those people, he did not like it. He mentioned this matter to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and also stated that his intention was good, but (he did not like this matter). The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, Allah will absolve this woman from it. Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) stood on the pulpit and said: After today, no man should go to a woman whose husband is not present, except if he is accompanied by her husband.
