Hadith 5537
The narrator named Suhail reports: Abu Salih used to instruct us that when any one of us was about to sleep, he should lie down on his right side (on the bed) and then recite this: "O Allah! O Lord of all the heavens and Lord of the earth and Lord of the magnificent Throne! O our Lord and Lord of everything! O Splitter of the grain and the date-stone! O Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Qur'an! I seek refuge in You from the evil of everything whose forelock You have seized. You are the First, there is nothing before You. You are the Last, there is nothing after You. You are the Most High, there is nothing above You. Settle our debts for us and protect us from poverty."
The narrator named Suhail reports: Abu Salih narrated this from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
