باب آداب النوم - ذكر الشيء الذي إذا قاله المرء عند استيقاظه من النوم دخل الجنة بقوله ذلك إن أدركته منيته-
Chapter on Etiquette of Sleep – On the words that, if said upon waking, guarantee Paradise if death occurs
Hadith 5533
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ السَّامِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ الصَّوَّافِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا أَوَى الرَّجُلُ إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ ، أَتَاهُ مَلَكٌ وَشَيْطَانٌ ، فَيَقُولُ الْمَلَكُ : اخْتِمْ بِخَيْرٍ ، وَيَقُولُ الشَّيْطَانُ : اخْتِمْ بِشَرٍّ ، فَإِنْ ذَكَرَ اللَّهَ ، ثُمَّ نَامَ ، بَاتَتِ الْمَلائِكَةُ تَكْلَؤُهُ ، فَإِنِ اسْتَيْقَظَ ، قَالَ الْمَلَكُ : افْتَحْ بِخَيْرٍ ، وَقَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ : افْتَحْ بِشَرٍّ ، فَإِنْ قَالَ : الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي رَدَّ عَلَيَّ نَفْسِي ، وَلَمْ يُمِتْهَا فِي مَنَامِهَا ، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي يُمْسِكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ أَنْ تَزُولا ، إِلَى آخِرِ الآيَةِ ، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي يُمْسِكُ السَّمَاءَ أَنْ تَقَعَ عَلَى الأَرْضِ إِلا بِإِذْنِهِ ، فَإِنْ وَقَعَ مِنْ سَرِيرِهِ ، فَمَاتَ ، دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When a person goes to his bed, an angel and a devil come to him. The angel says: End (the day's deeds) with goodness. The devil says: End (the day's deeds) with evil." (The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, says:) If that person sleeps while remembering Allah, the angels continue to protect him throughout the night. When he wakes up, the angel says: Begin (the day's deeds) with goodness, and the devil says: Begin with evil. If that person recites this: 'All praise is due to Allah who returned my soul to me and did not cause me to die during my sleep. All praise is due to Allah who has restrained the heavens and the earth from perishing. (He should recite this verse to the end.) All praise is due to Him who has restrained the sky from falling upon the earth except by His permission.'"
