Description of the Inscription on the Prophet's Ring
Hadith 5496
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَرْعَرَةُ بْنُ الْبِرِنْدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَزْرَةُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ نَقْشُ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلاثَةَ أَسْطُرٍ : مُحَمَّدٌ سَطْرٌ ، وَرَسُولٌ سَطْرٌ ، وَاللَّهُ سَطْرٌ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The inscription on the ring of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was in three lines. The word "Muhammad" was in one line. The word "Rasul" was in one line, and the word "Allah" was in one line.
