Hadith 5417
أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْعَطَّارُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْقَيْسِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَرَآهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَشْعَثَ أَغْبَرَ فِي هَيْئَةِ أَعْرَابِيٍّ ، فَقَالَ : " مَا لَكَ مِنَ الْمَالِ ؟ قَالَ : مِنْ كُلِّ الْمَالِ قَدْ آتَانِيَ اللَّهُ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ اللَّهَ إِذَا أَنْعَمَ عَلَى الْعَبْدِ نِعْمَةً ، أَحَبَّ أَنْ تُرَى بِهِ " .
Abu Ahwas narrates from his father: He presented himself before the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) observed him in the form of a villager with disheveled, dusty hair and asked: Do you have wealth? He replied: Allah Almighty has granted me every kind of wealth. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: When Allah Almighty bestows a blessing upon a servant, He likes that the blessing be visible on that servant.
