Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) came to the one giving water. He asked for water, so Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said (to his son): O Fadl, go to your mother and bring some drink for the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from her. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Give me something to drink. I said: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! These people have put their hands in it. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Give me something to drink. Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) drank it. Then he came to Zamzam, where people were drawing water and working. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Keep working, you are doing a good deed. Then he said: If I did not fear that there would be a crowd, I would also go down until I would place the rope (of the water-drawing bucket) here. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) indicated towards his shoulder as he said this.
