Hadith 5373
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الْمَكِّيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، سَمِعَهُ مِنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ : أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَهُ ، وَمُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ ، إِلَى الْيَمَنِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُمَا : " بَشِّرَا وَيَسِّرَا ، وَعَلِّمَا وَلا تُنَفِّرَا ، وَتَطَاوَعَا " ، فَلَمَّا وَلَّى مُعَاذٌ ، رَجَعَ أَبُو مُوسَى ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ لَهُمْ شَرَابًا مِنَ الْعِنَبِ يُطْبَخُ حَتَّى يَعْقِدَ ، وَالْمِزْرُ يُصْنَعُ مِنَ الشَّعِيرِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كُلُّ مَا أَسْكَرَ عَنِ الصَّلاةِ فَهُوَ حَرَامٌ " ، قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : غَرِيبٌ غَرِيبٌ .
Saeed bin Burdah narrates from his father, who reports from his grandfather that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) sent him and Sayyiduna Mu’adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) to Yemen. The Prophet said to both of them: “Give glad tidings and make things easy; teach and do not make people averse; and remain together.” When Sayyiduna Mu’adh turned to leave, Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash’ari returned and said: “O Messenger of Allah, there is a wine made from grapes there which is cooked until it becomes strong, and there is mizr which is made from barley.” The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Every intoxicant that clouds the mind from prayer is forbidden.”
