Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever drinks alcohol and becomes intoxicated, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days. If he dies during this period, he will enter Hell. But if he repents, Allah Almighty will accept his repentance. If he does it again and drinks alcohol and becomes intoxicated, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days, and if he dies in that state, (he will enter Hell). If he repents again, Allah Almighty will accept his repentance. And if he does it again and drinks alcohol and becomes intoxicated, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days, and if he dies in that state, (he will enter Hell). And if he repents, Allah Almighty will accept his repentance. But if he does it a fourth time, then it is incumbent upon Allah to make him drink 'Teenat al-Khabal' on the Day of Resurrection." The people asked: "What is Teenat al-Khabal?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The discharge (pus and blood, etc.) of the people of Hell."
