Hadith 5352
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was serving (alcohol) to my uncles in my neighborhood. I was the youngest among them. Meanwhile, a person came and said: Alcohol has been declared forbidden. I was standing there serving them a drink called Fadheekh (a type of alcohol). They said: Throw it away. So I threw it away.
The narrator says: I asked Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), what kind of alcohol was it? He replied: It was made from dried and fresh dates.
Abu Bakr bin Anas narrates: In those days, their alcohol used to be made from this thing, and Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) did not deny their statement.
