Chapter on Etiquette of Drinking - Prohibition of Breathing into the Vessel While Drinking
Hadith 5328
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانِ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا شَرِبَ أَحَدُكُمْ ، فَلا يَتَنَفَّسْ فِي الإِنَاءِ " .
Abdullah bin Abu Qatadah narrates from his father that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "When any person drinks something, he should not breathe into the vessel."
