Chapter on Etiquette of Drinking - Not Objecting to One Who Did This Act
Hadith 5325
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الرَّيَّانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " كُنَّا نَأْكُلُ وَنَحْنُ نَمْشِي ، وَنَشْرَبُ وَنَحْنُ قِيَامٌ ، عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Previously, we used to eat while walking and drink while standing; this was during the blessed time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
