Hospitality – Permissibility for the guest to pray for the host in ways other than those described after finishing food
Hadith 5296
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، قَالَ : أَفْطَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ سَعْدٍ ، فَقَالَ : " أَفْطَرَ عِنْدَكُمُ الصَّائِمُونَ ، وَصَلَّتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَلائِكَةُ ، وَأَكَلَ طَعَامَكُمُ الأَبْرَارُ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) broke his fast at the house of Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him), and said: "Those who fasted have broken their fast with you, and the angels have invoked mercy for you, and the righteous have eaten your food."
