Hadith 5237
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُوسَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ بَحْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " طَعَامُ الْوَاحِدِ يَكْفِي الاثْنَيْنِ ، وَطَعَامُ الاثْنَيْنِ يَكْفِي الأَرْبَعَةَ ، وَطَعَامُ الأَرْبَعَةِ يَكْفِي الثَّمَانِيَةَ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The food of one person is sufficient for two, the food of two is sufficient for four, and the food of four is sufficient for eight."
