Hadith 5217
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ جَشِيبٍ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ عِنْدَ انْقِضَاءِ الطَّعَامِ : " الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا ، طَيِّبًا ، مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ ، غَيْرَ مَكْفِيٍّ ، وَلا مُوَدَّعٍ ، وَلا مُسْتَغْنًى عَنْهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah narrates: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) recite this supplication after finishing food: “All praise is due to Allah alone, abundant, pure, and blessed praise, such as cannot be dispensed with, nor left, nor can anyone do without it.”
