Second report confirming the interpretation of the previously mentioned wording
Hadith 5190
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَسْمَاءَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَطَرُ الْوَرَّاقُ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ أَرْضٌ فَلْيَزْرَعْهَا ، فَإِنْ عَجَزَ عَنْهَا فَلْيَمْنَحْهَا أَخَاهُ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Whoever has land should cultivate it, and if he cannot do so, then he should give it to his brother (for temporary use without compensation)."
