What is required regarding returning people’s rights and not relying on this fleeting world
Hadith 5160
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَتْ : دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ سَاهِمُ الْوَجْهِ ، قَالَتْ : حَسِبْتُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ وَجْعٍ ، قُلْتُ : مَا لِي أَرَاكَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ سَاهِمَ الْوَجْهِ ؟ قَالَ : " مِنْ أَجْلِ الدَّنَانِيرِ السَّبْعَةِ الَّتِي أَتَتْنَا الأَمْسِ فَلَمْ نَقْسِمْهَا " .
Sayyida Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Once the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) came to me and there were signs of displeasure on his face. Sayyida Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I guessed that it was due to some discomfort. I said: What is the reason? I feel signs of discomfort on your face. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: It is because of those seven dinars that came to us last evening and we have not been able to distribute them.
