Sayyiduna Rafi‘ bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The earnings of the cupper are impure, the earnings of a prostitute are impure, and the price of a dog is impure.”
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The earnings of the cupper were declared unlawful when they are based on a specific condition, that is, when he says: I will extract this much blood for this much compensation. When this condition, which is implicit in the statement, is known, then this earning will be permissible because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) himself permitted it for Sayyiduna Abu Taybah (may Allah be pleased with him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) permitted it through his action. As for the price of a dog and the earnings of a prostitute, both are unlawful.

Ibn Muḥayṣah narrates: His father asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) for permission regarding the earnings from cupping (hijama), but the Prophet (peace be upon him) refused to grant him permission. He kept discussing this matter with the Prophet (peace be upon him) until the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Feed it to your slave or feed it as fodder to your camel."
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says: The Prophet (peace be upon him) refused to grant permission regarding the earnings from cupping because there was a hidden condition in it: the person performing cupping had stipulated that he would extract a specific amount of blood, but since he did not have the ability to fulfill this condition, the Prophet (peace be upon him) disliked granting permission regarding its earnings. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Feed it to your slave or feed it as fodder to your camel." So, if the earnings from cupping were completely forbidden, the Prophet (peace be upon him) would not have permitted feeding it to the slave, because slaves also worship Allah, and it is impossible that the Prophet (peace be upon him) would command any Muslim to feed something unlawful to his slave.)
