Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and we were picking pilu (a type of fruit). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Pick the black ones from them because they are purer. I used to eat them in the days when I used to herd goats. The people asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! Did you also herd goats? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: Every prophet who was sent has herded goats.
