ذكر إباحة أخذ المهدي هدية نفسه بعد بعثه إلى المهدى إليه وموت المهدى إليه قبل وصول الهدية إليه-
Permissibility of the giver taking back his own gift if the recipient dies before receiving it
Hadith 5114
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْقَطَّانُ بِالرَّقَّةِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَتْ : لَمَّا تَزَوَّجَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنِّي قَدْ أَهْدَيْتُ إِلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ حُلَّةً وَأَوَاقِيَّ مِسْكٍ ، ولا أثراهُ أَلا قَدْ مَاتَ ، وَسَتُرَدُّ الْهَدِيَّةُ ، فَإِنْ كَانَ كَذَلِكَ فَهِيَ لَكَ " ، قَالَتْ : فَكَانَ كَمَا قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَاتَ النَّجَاشِيُّ وَرُدَّتِ الْهَدِيَّةُ ، فَدَفَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى كُلِّ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ أُوقِيَّةَ مِسْكٍ ، وَدَفَعَ الْحُلَّةَ وَسَائِرَ الْمِسْكِ إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ .
Lady Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) married me, he said, "I had sent a suit and a few ounces of musk as a gift to the Negus. I think he has passed away, so this gift will be returned. If that happens, it will be given to you." Lady Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Then it happened exactly as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had said—the Negus had passed away, and the gift was returned. So the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) sent one ounce of musk to each of his wives, and he gave the suit and the rest of the musk to Lady Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her).
