Chapter: Bankruptcy - Third report clarifying that if the buyer goes bankrupt, the seller's item is returned, not shared among creditors
Hadith 5039
أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى السَّخْتِيَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَعْيَنَ ، حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أُعْدِمَ الرَّجُلُ ، فَوَجَدَ الْبَائِعُ مَتَاعَهُ بِعَيْنِهِ ، فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person becomes bankrupt and the seller finds his goods with him in their original form, then the seller has more right to that goods."
