Chapter: Cancelled sales - Allah will pardon on Judgment Day the one who cancels his brother's hardship in this world
Hadith 5030
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ الصُّوفِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَقَالَ مُسْلِمًا عَثْرَتَهُ ، أَقَالَهُ اللَّهُ عَثْرَتَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " ، مَا رَوَى عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ إِلا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، وَمَالِكُ بْنُ سُعَيْرٍ ، وَمَا رَوَى عَنْ حَفْصٍ إِلا يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ ، وَلا عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ سُعَيْرٍ إِلا زِيَادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحَسَّانِيُّ ، قَالَهُ الشَّيْخُ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever overlooks the slip of a Muslim, Allah Almighty will overlook his slip on the Day of Resurrection."
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) This narration from A‘mash has only been transmitted by Hafs bin Ghiyath and Malik bin Sa‘ir, and from Hafs it has only been transmitted by Yahya bin Ma‘in, and from Malik bin Sa‘ir it has been transmitted by Ziyad bin Yahya Hassani. This has been stated by the Shaykh.
