Hadith 4986
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ بَنُ الصَّبَاحِ الدُّولابِيُّ مُنْذُ ثَمَانِينَ سَنَةً ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنِ اشْتَرَى طَعَامًا فَلا يَبِعْهُ حَتَّى يَسْتَوْفِيَهُ ، قَالَ : وَنَهَى أَنْ يَبِيعَهُ حَتَّى يُحَوِّلَهُ مِنْ مَكَانِهِ أَوْ يَنْقُلَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever buys any grain should not sell it until he has taken full possession of it." The narrator states: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade a person from selling it before transferring it to another place. (The narrator is unsure about one word here.)
