Chapter: Forbidden sales - Clarification that this is only forbidden if the first seller does not permit it
Hadith 4966
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا يَبِعْ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى بَيْعِ أَخِيهِ إِلا بِإِذْنِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "No person should make a deal over the deal of his brother, except with his permission."
